Humanity – stupitidy

piep..piep..piep

Annoying message received.

I have received a number of the same messages on Facebook, Whatsapp and BBM. All with the same form and same message to the public. An example of what I received this morning.

” Message from…..(CEO of …..) we have had an over usage of user names on ……”

{Why complain if you are popular social network. Really}

“We are requesting all users to forward this message to their entire contact list. If you do not forward this message, we will take it as your account is invalid and it will be deleted within the next 48 hours.”

{Come on guys How can the social network read your most private conversations that you have with a number of people on your phone or computer? Think about it if you send in a private message some confidential info to just one person on any of these networks. Do you think it would be private if the CEO or any member working for that network could read or see what you text or tipped. This makes me sure stupidity is a well know trade or trademark in a very large percentage of the world. }

“Please DO NOT ignore this message or ….. will no longer recognise {I am tipping it from the message and look… a spelling mistake, wonder how that happened} your activation. If you wish to re-activate your account after it has been deleted a charge of 25.00″{ is it Dollars or Rands or Euros}

{Any account that you activate on a social network be it on a Facebook, BBM, Whatsapp, Flirt or any dating network. You activated it and you are the only one that has the power to delete it. Phone networks like BBM and whatsapp work with their own payment agreement that you signed up for. BBM is a monthly deduction from your airtime that gives you a service of a number of free applications like the social networking Blackberry messenger, games and  Surfing the web to name just a few. Whatsapp has ‘n yearly subscription fee of  $0.99 that is deducted from you airtime also a once off that you have to give authority to. (if you are using the free trail year and some of those who’s where extended for longer – you still don’t have any subscription fees to pay) }

“We are also aware of the issue involving the picture updates not showing. We are working diligently on fixing this problem and it will be up and running as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation from the ….. team.”

{Any body can write a message like this and sign it of with the name or brand of a corporation or network}

“…. is going to cost us money soon. The only way that it will stay free is if you are a frequent user i.e. you have at least 10 people you are chatting with. To become a frequent user send this message to 10 people who receive it (2 ticks) and your …. logo should turn red {any color} to indicate a frequent users {another mistake made}”

{O’ please. Change color? Are you sure? really… lol. People say they are intelligent due to the fact that they are the advanced species on earth. proven wrong so many times this being one of them.

Scenario 1 – you are on a social network suddenly you get this message

Do you                a)  Panic and send it to the whole list

b) read it carefully and then send it on to the number indicated

c) delete text due to the fact it is spam.

Less intelligent person would go for a or b. And after my ranting about the spam a idiot will claim that c is his or her answer. Lying about the fact that they are guilty for sending this.

Please take note that if you would receive such a message it would not be broadcasted from one person to the other.

The CEO or rather the server of the network would send you a personal private  message for upgrades, payments or  even deactivation of an account. It is not done with chain messaging or broadcasting text.
